TransactPay & Moss award nomination: Best Service to Business

A company which is transforming the credit card market for SMEs, Berlin-based Moss, supported by TransactPay, provider of European BIN sponsorship and modular payment, debit, credit and prepaid services, have been jointly shortlisted in the category of “Best Service to Business” for the Card and Payment Awards 2022.

Moss was initially launched in mid-2020 as the first real corporate credit card for startups and digital companies in Germany. In the meantime, the FinTech has entered the SME market, successfully launched in the Netherlands, and expanded the product portfolio significantly. Going forward, customers will have the choice of using the platform as a complete solution for their spend management, or to build a customized modular solution based on their needs.

Moss’s financial management system accounts for every Euro, automatically and in real time allowing its customers to focus on their core business without getting bogged down in the detail of lost receipts or chasing up invoices, with an average time-saving of 16 hours per month (equating to one month per year). And due to its advantage of especially high credit lines and payment terms of up to 60 days or attractive cashback offers.

In May 2021, Moss teamed up with TransactPay and global payments company Mastercard to issue its credit cards, and in the same year quadrupled its customer base. Since its inception, Moss has issued more than 20,000 physical and virtual credit cards and processed over 250,000 transactions.

Driven by the growing needs of its customers, Moss is constantly evolving its product, which is one of the key reasons why CEO of Moss, Ante Spittler, believes the company has earned its place as a finalist in the “Best Service” category.

“We exist solely to improve spend management for SMEs and start-ups and are constantly working to add features and benefits to our solution that help free up precious time and resources by eliminating financial management inefficiencies,” Spittler explains. “Moving all company spending to a digital platform means we can give our customers full financial control, with a comprehensive overview of spending at their fingertips.

“In fewer than three years since we launched, we are already well on our way to achieving our mission of being the leading financial management platform for businesses across Europe. I’m thrilled we have been recognised as a contender for Best Service to Business.”

Aaron Carpenter, CEO of TransactPay says: “Moss is a fast-growing company which needed a reliable, flexible and fully scalable card issuing solution. Through the partnership with TransactPay, Moss has the foundation they need to achieve their growth objectives – and their ultimate goal to expand beyond Germany into Europe. We are proud to support Moss as their chosen card issuer and look forward to working together on future innovations. We wish Moss the best of luck for this award.”

The Card and Payments Awards, now in its 17th year, recognise success and innovation in the card and payments industry and is open to companies in the UK, Republic of Ireland, and to European companies who are offering programmes or initiatives within the UK market. Winners will be announced on 3 February 2022 in London in front of over 1000 guests. Moss and TransactPay are up against six other shortlisted entrants competing for “Best Service to Business”.
