E-Money Licensing

Our E-Licensing solution is able to support cardless products across the UK and throughout EEA.

Our E-Licensing solution is able to support cardless products across the UK and throughout EEA.

Through our EMI licence, TransactPay is able to sponsor mobile wallet, ewallet, and other cardless technical solutions, removing the need for our customers to obtain their own EMI licence.

What is an Electronic Money Institution (EMI)?

An EMI is an entity authorised by the nominated authority in a jurisdiction that allows the EMI to issue and manage e-money. TransactPay holds EMI licences with the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission and the Malta Financial Services Authority.

A partnership with TransactPay means that customers can utilise our EMI licences, removing the worry of obtaining their own, which can be a lengthy, costly and highly technical process.

Through our EMI licences, we issue payment accounts, mobile wallets, physical and virtual prepaid, debit, credit and tokenised cards. This includes corporate expense cards, general spend cards, gift cards, money transfer cards, travel and foreign exchange cards, payroll and payroll–plus cards and affiliate commission cards.
